First Retirement Training Ride
The cycling gods were smiling on me today. I woke up on my first official day of retirement to brilliant sunshine and 60-70 degree temperatures. You couldn’t ask for a better day for a ride. A fully-loaded Miles and I went out for a 4.5 hours and covered 47 miles and 3,500 feet. With all of the water the full load is pushing 50 pounds. Tough sledding.
One of my mantras as I move into this stage of my life is “make every day count”. I think I did o.k. on day #1.
